Wyoming Bentonite is used in a myriad of ways within the construction industry. In slurry form, products such as Hydrogel®, Naturalgel®, and SW 101 are used in caisson drilling, tunneling, and for cast-in-place foundations. Big Horn Bentonite is used to waterproof foundations and Envirogel® is used to stabilize roadbeds by adding to the plastic index of sands and gravels. Non-bentonite products like Borzan, Uni-Drill®, and Wyo-Vis® are industry leaders for caisson drilling and tunneling.
