The treatment of waste streams with Cleartreat® products is usually done in a batch system. The waste water is placed in a vessel and the desired Cleartreat® formulation is added.
Application rates range from 0.5% to 2.0%. Agitation follows for about 1 to 2 minutes. The mix is then allowed to stand for another minute or two then agitated again for another minute.
Once at final rest, the mixture rapidly separates with the agglomerated solids falling to the bottom and clear water toward the top. The clear water and solids are then separated generally using a deep bed filter process.
The clean water is then reused or sewered. The solids or sludge can then be disposed of in a manner appropriate for their characteristics.
Below is an abbreviated list of some of the Cleartreat products and the waste streams they treat.
